My research focuses on international security and U.S. national security.

I study territorial and maritime disputes, Indo-Pacific security, alliance politics, nuclear deterrence, rebel group grievances, and conflict resolution, which includes the role of international law in dispute resolution, mediation, negotiations, arbitration, and adjudication.
